Prora, an hotel build in between 1936 and 1939.
I think to give every working person in Germany a holiday at the beach. One could come there with their family and walk, socialize,learn musical instruments, sail and much more. It has never been used since the war broke out and Hitler presumably needed a lot of his working people to be soldiers…since then the third-reich-building is empty. I found a self-made ladder out of television-cable and sticks and seen cooking fire coming out of cracks in the ceiling so I presume some people camp in it.
To me it appeared as a sad building..the hallways are endlessly long and the rooms were as small as nun-monastery rooms. I guess the tourist would be walking through the hallways en mass. Standing in a Que to go to the shared bathroom and eat downstairs with hundreds at a time.
