Climate change

I think the clouds in Holland have been more and more interesting in shape since this year. Maybe it is climate change but it reminds me of the time when painters came to the Holland from France, England, Russia, Germany etc to paint landscapes....ad mainly for the skies that Holland has..Painters love paint the fat clouds with their many blue's, White's and greys. They had beautiful setup measurements in composition; only one fifth of land and the rest fluffy cumulus skies! Can anyone tell me more about old Dutch painters and their love for clouds and the climate at that time? Maybe it is interesting to arrange an exhibition with oldDutch cloud painters (pff landscape painters..I say cloud painters) and weather statistics/estimates at that time.

There is more art that shows climate change. This painting of Breugel is know to depict  the little iceage around 1565

quot; There is no agreed beginning year to the Little Ice Age, although there is a frequently referenced series of events preceding the known climatic minima. Starting in the 13th century, pack ice began advancing southwards in the North Atlantic, as did glaciers in Greenland. The three years of torrential rains beginning in 1315 ushered in an era of unpredictable weather in Northern Europe which did not lift until the 19th century. There is anecdotal evidence of expanding glaciers almost worldwide. In contrast, a climate reconstruction based on glacial length shows no great variation from 1600 to 1850, though it shows strong retreat thereafter.
